Biography
Dave Marshak is a twenty-three year law enforcement veteran, who started in North St. Louis County (for nearly three years), and has now been with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for the last twenty-one years. Dave has commanded most of the divisions within the Sheriff’s Office, and is currently the Commander of the Special Operations Division, which includes Firearms, SWAT, Canine, Traffic, Criminal Interdiction, DWI Enforcement, and Community Relations.
Dave finished his undergraduate degree at Lindenwood University, and completed graduate classes at both Lindenwood University and St. Louis University earning his Masters Degree. Dave’s undergraduate studies were in Human Resource Management, while his graduate work focused on Communications, with an emphasis in Training and Development. Dave is an adjunct Professor at Jefferson College where he teaches Criminal Investigations. He also teaches law enforcement classes to local, state, and federal officers alike. In addition, Dave is an NRA Firearms Instructor and holds various law enforcement instructor certifications. Dave is the recipient of countless awards and citations too numerous to list here.
